Come and pour your heart out with Fluid Artist Sherry Heyliger! Acrylic Pouring is a simple and fun way to create beautiful abstract art. Sherry will teach participants the basic chemistry and beginner techniques of acrylic pouring. As they work on completing two painted pieces, they will learn to surrender to the movement of paint and express themselves through colour and composition. Dress for mess and get ready to let your inner child out to play! This super fluid medium offers something for everyone, regardless of skill or experience level.

Meet Sherry! Sherry Heyliger is a fluid artist that sees movement and magic in the everyday. Much of her inspiration comes from her relationship with the natural world; its minutiae and grandiosity; its richness, depth, clarity and simplicity. Sherry started painting in 2017 and within a few months had birthed over 350 pieces of fluid art. It was just the beginning! Sherry shares this meditation on her practice - "Fluid art... the surrender to the medium and the music... a whole new forum of expression that drove me deeper and deeper to my core. I wanted to share this movement with others... the liberation from all the thinking and the dive into the dance of the heart. Transmitting this knowing, this feeling of interconnectedness, has become my focus. Motion, multi-mediums, magic... whatever is at hand shapes my opportunity to create and share." Sherry's work has been showcased at The Women's Art Museum of Canada, ARTBOX NYC, NDAC's Appetite for Art, Luna Nocturnal Art Festival, Castlegar, Nelson and Arrow Lakes Fine Art Guild's 2019 ARTWALKS, the Keyano Gallery, the Hidden Garden Gallery, and The Kootenay Gallery. Originally hailing from Milton, Ontario, she now calls Prince Edward County home after decades living in Alberta and the interior of British Columbia.

Art supply fee - Please note that the cost of supplies is not included in the course fee; this amount depends on the course, and will be automatically added to your total. If this cost is prohibitive for you, please contact Andrea at [email protected] before registering to make alternative arrangements.

Offline registration - We prefer to take payment and registration through this form, but if you are not comfortable with this option and it is more than 2 weeks before the course begins, please check the "Offline" box in the Billing Information section below. We will contact you with alternative payment options. Payment must be received at least one week before the course begins.

Processing fee - This covers transaction and ticketing fees. We've decided to use Regfox, the most affordable ticketing platform we could find, which will collectively save our participants over $1000 in processing fees per year.

Policies and Waivers - We've included these as part of the registration process (thank you for your patience!) to save some paperwork on your end and get straight to art making when we are in person!

  • We encourage those who are able to pay a little more to choose this price ($20/hr). By doing so, you are helping build a community that prioritizes access to the arts for all, and allowing us to cover more of our operating costs, which include Artist Instructor fees, rent, and more.

  • This price ($15/hr) allows us to cover most of the costs of running the course.

  • This price ($10/hr) is available to those who find the other two options too high for their household.
