Join us at the County Arts Lab for this exciting artist talk with Guelph-based textile artist Lauren Vartanian! Lauren will be speaking about the process of completing the hand-crafted illustrations in her new book Stitching Science: Exploring Science from A-Z. Completed over a three year period, this Alphabet book is intricately illustrated in a wide variety of textile processes, and accompanied with text by Keltie Thomas. The original artworks will be on display and Lauren will give the audience a behind the scenes look at the process, and a Q&A after the talk.

This event is co-presented by County Arts and the Arthur B. McDonald Canadian Astroparticle Physics Research Institute at Queen's University, where the work was on display this summer at the McDonald Institute's Visitor Centre.

Books and Company will have copies of Lauren's book, Stitching Science: Exploring Science from A-Z available for purchase at the event.
